2's CLASSROOM ARTWORK:
RAINBOW ROOM - Rainbow of Shapes
The Rainbow Room students explored different textures while sponge painting the colors of the rainbow with sea sponges. The students learned about colors, shapes, and texture while diving into this fun art project together.
STAR 2AM, STAR 3AM - Wall of Stars
For their project “Wall of Stars,” the Star Room began experimenting with the creation of multi-dimensional art. Taking inspiration from Tactile Time materials, and from everyday classroom supplies, they took the idea of a decorated star one step further. To begin, the children collaborated worked together to paint a canvas using acrylic paint. Using their own creativity they were able to create this 2-dimensional background on which their stars would shine. The second step of this project was to bring their Stars to life. Starting with a simple yellow wooden star, they were each given a different medium (previously combined with Mod-Podge) to add depth and dimension to it. The chance to see these familiar supplies (crayons, buttons, sand etc.…) being used in a new and unexpected way sparked their curiosity and excitement to make their own Star as unique as possible.
SKY 3AM - 11 Little Birds out on a Limb
The Sky Room has created a painting of 11 birds sitting a tree limb. Each bird was painted by a child using their thumb prints to create the beautiful feather effect.
GARDEN 2AM, 3AM - Hand Print Animal Trek
Each child got to pick an animal, from a list that they wanted to make their hand print into. The children then got to help mix the colors and paint their hand. We then turned it into the animal of their choosing.
SUN 5AM, 3PM - The Sun's Pallette
The Sun Room students painted sheets of watercolor paper each with their own individual color. We then cut each color into smaller petal shapes and glued them in order. The colors are each a slight variation of the next and blend together to create a bright sun. Just like the Sun Room students, each color is beautiful and unique but together they create a colorful masterpiece.
3's CLASSROOM ARTWORK:
HONEY BEAR - The Dreaming Bear
30” x 30” Round Mirror Framed by Hand Painted Bears exclusively painted by the Honey Bears. Enjoy this beautifully crafted, decorative mirror, perfect for any child’s room!
POLAR BEAR AM, PM - Loving Letters
The Polar Bears repurposed an old dictionary by tearing up pages from each letter of the alphabet and collaging them onto a canvas. The children then used letter stencils and black paint to create a vintage inspired alphabet print across the piece. The children loved taking something old and making it new again!
KOALA - Monet Inspired Midtown Manhattan Side Skyline
The Koala Room was Monet inspired to created the Manhattan skyline at sunset through 14 different steps. They used their fingers to dip and place on the canvas for each layer to give the piece texture and layers!
PANDA - Flight of Imagination
As children, creativity and imagination are just part of the everyday. This year in the Panda Room we are encouraging the children to use their creativity to send them to unimaginable heights. This project represents just that. Each child is represented with their silhouette being pulled to new heights by "balloons." The children posed for photos and glued every single button you see on this canvas. I have no doubt their creativity and ideas will send them to places like this!
4's CLASSROOM ARTWORK:

This bright, one of a kind piece really "pops" and would look great in any playroom or child's bedroom.
